What is an independent/virtual assistant?

An independent (or virtual) assistant is in fact an administrative professional (yes, there are some who love it!) who offers her services to a company or an individual. In addition to administrative tasks, she also manages everything you can't or don't like to do (organisation, travel, appointments, etc.). Pretty cool, huh?
